Florida Miami Odds

Florida Miami Odds The state of Florida has become a "hot zone" for football recruiting. The recruiting wars between the University of Florida, University of Miami, Fla., and Florida State are legendary. When old high school rivals meet on the college football gridiron, the football world comes to a stop and pays attention. On Saturday, September 7th in Miami, the first battle in 2013 for state bragging rights will be played between the #12 Florida Gators and the Miami Hurricanes. The game is scheduled for 12:00 pm EDT on EPSN. While these two teams use to play annually, they now schedule intermittent home & home games. The Gators won the last meeting in 2008 (26-3) bringing the overall record to 28-26 in favor of Miami. This game could have a significant effect on the postseason rankings. The line shows Florida favored by 3 with an over/under of 49. Head Coach Will Muschamp will be looking for an improved effort from his Florida squad after a rather efficient, if not dull, victory in their seasonal opener against unranked Toledo 24-6. The Gators used a bruising ground attack (262 yards rushing) to control the tempo and kept Toledo off the field. The Gators were led in rushing by Senior Mack Brown (112 yards, 2 TDs). Brown is a classic straight ahead runner who can be awfully tough to bring down when he gets in the open field. Junior QB Jeff Driskel played mistake free ball while completing 17-22 passes for 153 yards and 1 TD. On defense, Florida was simply dominating. They gave up a total of 206 yards and only...

West Virginia at Oklahoma College Football Pick It was one whale of a game. The date was November 17, 2012 with 24 seconds remaining on the clock. Ex-Sooner QB Landry Jones tossed a 5 yard TD pass to grabbed a very exciting 50-49 victory over a struggling West Virginia squad that was looking for bowl game eligibility. While West Virginia did make it to a bowl game, this was a very bitter defeat. New West Virginia Head Coach Dana Holgorsen will be seeking his first major victory of his tenure with the Mountaineers as they head into Norman to face Head Coach Bob Stoops and his #16 Oklahoma Sooners at 7:00 pm EDT. Last season was uncharacteristically difficult one for West Virginia who ended the season 7-6 and will be looking for significant improvement. Revenge for last season's defeat would be a great place to start. The Sooners ended the season with their typical 10-3 record. Currently, the Sooners are favored by 20.5 with an over/under of 62. Last week, the Mountaineers rallied late in the 4th quarter to defeat an out-manned William & Marry squad. While West Virginia showed good balance on offense (172 YR, 237 YP), they committed 3 turnovers and struggled to move the ball against a smallish Tribe defense. Senior RB Charles Simms led the offense with 120 yards rushing and 1 TD. Junior QB Paul Millard played very well completing 19-25 for 237 yards and 1 TD (63 yards to Ronald Carswell) with no picks. He earned a very strong 168.8 QB rating for the game. The Mountaineer defense was stingy giving up only...
