Ohio State travels Michigan and the oddsmakers have made Michigan a 7.5 point favorite.

Ohio State Preview

Ohio State’s overall record is 17-4, Big Ten record is 7-2, ATS overall is 11-7-1, ATS home is 7-4, and ATS away is 3-2-1.

Ohio State is unexpectedly having a very good year also. They were thought to be a sure lock for a NCAA tournament bid, but not necessarily the 10th rated team in the nation, where they now stand.

Ohio State is lead by Deshaun Thomas, a 6’-7” forward that likes to shoot the ball every time he touches it. He averages 20 points and six rebounds a game.

They also have Aaron Craft, a 6’-2” point guard that is tough as nails and a great defender. He averages 9 points and 5 assist a game. Their second leading scorer is a kid named Lenzelle Smith, Jr., who is a 6’-4” wing guard that averages 10 points and 5 rebounds a game.

They play an eight man rotation, which each player averaging at least 16 minutes a game. Their four losses have been to Duke, Kansas, Illinois, and Michigan State, which is not too shabby.

In addition, they beat Michigan at their place earlier in the season.

Michigan Preview

Michigan’s overall record is 20-2, Big Ten record is 7-2, ATS overall is 12-7-1, ATS home is 6-4-1, and ATS away is 3-3.

Michigan went to Indiana for their last game rated number one in the nation, and they lost 81 to 73. Both Indiana and Michigan are having fantastic seasons, and each team is considered a legit final four contender.  Losing to Indiana at Indiana, is nothing to be ashamed of, especially this year. You can be absolutely certain that both the Michigan players and coaches want to get revenge for their earlier loss to Ohio State.

They are lead by Trey Burke, their sensational point guard. He played high school basketball in the state of Ohio, and he wanted to go to Ohio State. But, they did not recruit him because they already had a real good point guard, named Aaron Craft.

In his first game against Ohio State he scored 15 points and had four assist. But, he only shot 4 for 13, and he had 4 turnovers, which all in all, is a pretty bad game for a player of his caliber.

Once again, you can be sure that he remembers how poorly he played in that game, and wants to make up for it. Michigan is loaded with talent and a couple of their other good players are T. Hardaway Jr., G. Robinson III, Nik Stauskas, and their big center Mitch McGary.

Michigan is coached by John Beilein, who is considered one of the better on the floor coaches in college basketball. He has been at the school for six years now, and this is the first year that he has first class talent.

Michigan lost a tough one the last time out, and they did not play their best either. This one is at their place, and one would have to think, not only do they want to play better; they want to make up for their loss to Ohio State earlier in the season.
